Install a Thailand eSIM at home before you leave and switch it on when you land — you're on AIS or TrueMove H within minutes, without queuing at a SIM counter. For two weeks of maps, chat and some streaming, 5–10 GB is usually enough.
Thailand has three big networks — AIS, TrueMove H and dtac. AIS has the best coverage in the north and countryside, TrueMove H is strong in Bangkok and south toward Phuket and Krabi. On the islands (Koh Samui, Koh Phangan, Phi Phi) 4G works well at beaches and villages, but thins out in the jungle and on boat trips — download the offline map before heading out.
Backpacker or couple mostly chatting, navigating and posting photos: 5 GB is plenty for one to two weeks. Family with kids streaming at the hotel, or if you share via hotspot: take 10–20 GB. Swedish roaming in Thailand sits at the operators' abroad rate — example (published prices, July 2026): around 349 kr per GB with Telia, or day passes near 99 kr. Yes. Our Thailand plans come in validity windows that cover a typical 30-day stay — pick the data amount by usage, not by number of days. If the data runs short you top up from your order page with no new QR.
The travel eSIM is for data (WhatsApp, Line, maps, calls via apps). It doesn't give a local phone number. Keep your home number for calls/texts and just turn data roaming off on it — so there's no roaming bill.
No. The plans are fixed volume at full 4G/5G speed all the way — no daily quota that drops you to 384 Kbps like on many 'unlimited' offers. When the gigabytes run out you top up for full price and full speed again.
